The United States of California?

California, whose failed policies have resulted in year-over-year population losses for the state, is the model for the rest of the country? Are you kidding me?!?

Make America California Again? That’s Biden’s plan

Interesting quote from the article by Gray Davis, the former recalled governor of California, referring to Kamala Harris’ influence over the President:

“She’ll be sharing ideas, innovations and breakthroughs from California that might help solve problems on the national level.”

You mean innovations and breakthroughs like those that made California a national leader in:

Poverty: The highest poverty rate of any state
Taxes: Ranked 4th for greatest tax burden on residents
Income inequality: One of the top 5 worst states for income equality
Education: Ranked 37th for pre-K through 12 education
Homeless: Home to 53% of the nation’s homeless population

Yeah, that sounds like just what America needs…

I told you so

Promises to unite… free public health care, free education, “social justice”… stacking the Supreme Court… a legislative agenda with no minority consensus… criminalization of dissent, censorship of opposition… Sound like anyone we know?

Note the eerie similarities between Biden’s campaign and the actions of Hugo Chavez, then ask yourself if you really want to go down this road:

How socialism turned Venezuela from the wealthiest country in South America into an economic basket case

When Biden’s party eliminates the filibuster, pushes through a one-sided agenda with absolutely no attempt at consensus, gives everything to everybody for free – except to those foolish enough to be productive, stacks the Supreme Court to support an unconstitutional assault on 1st Amendment rights, and maliciously prosecutes opposition politicians – just remember: I told you so.

Let’s sink a recovering ship

Interesting. Seems the economy isn’t as bad off as the next administration wants us to believe. Could it be that their fear-mongering was simply campaign propaganda designed to get them elected? Or a self-fulfilling prophecy?

One measure of unemployment suggests Biden’s $1.9 trillion stimulus plan could do more harm than good, says a top Wall Street strategist

Another rich, woke celebrity…

… with their head up their ass.

Katie Couric cheers on Trump’s impeachment, says GOP lawmakers need to be ‘deprogrammed’

Here’s an interesting snippet from the above-referenced article:

Moments later, Couric calmed Maher’s nerves after he predicted Trump would run for president again by pointing to “some legal scholars” who say that while the Senate needs 67 votes to convict Trump in the Senate, it takes only a simple majority to bar him from seeking the White House again.

Only, Ms. Couric, Trump must first be convicted by a 2/3 majority before a simple majority can bar him from seeking office. Do your research next time, Katie.

You should be concerned with the House weaponizing impeachment as a political tool to eliminate opposition, Katie, rather than gloating over Trump’s impeachment. It should be up to the electorate – not the opposition political party – to determine who is allowed to attain office . If you can’t see the similarities this poses to the one-party systems of communist and socialist dictatorships then I’d mark you as part of the problem. In any event, it is a dangerous precedent that will eventually backfire.

I see woke people!

I always expected that we would have an “ultra-woke” requirement to work in the government under a liberal/Biden administration, but I had no idea it already existed. But here’s proof (just like for Bigfoot): video of a bizarre meeting of the January 7 2021 Oregon COVID-19 Vaccine Advisory Committee.

Vaccine Advisory Committee, Jan. 7, 2021

This video is bizarre because of the “ultra-woke” nature of the meeting, where the 1st 1/2 hour (and probably more; that’s all I could watch without losing it) was spent: commiserating over the previous days events (the capital riot); moments of silence; “breathing”; welcoming people to the “space”; crying; being reminded that the person facilitating the meeting was… err… you know… the “facilitator”; political speeches by a select few; being reminded again, you know, about the facilitator; a review of preferred pronouns; and introductions that included each person providing a “word of the day” (frequently as a political statement).

At first it’s hard to watch, then it’s hard to look away. I had no idea how “woke” you had to be to live in Oregon; so glad I didn’t move there.

The purge continues…

…and the Constitution is not immune:

NRA files for bankruptcy, announces it’s ditching New York for Texas

Email marketing service cuts ties with pro-2nd Amendment nonprofit in latest tech censorship

Why is it people don’t recognize that the silencing of opposing viewpoints is no less totalitarian than the purges of Hitler’s Nazi Germany or Stalin’s USSR? They call Republicans “Nazis” and “Fascists”, but who is it using Nazi and Fascist tactics?

I particularly like this quote from New York Attorney General Letitia James regarding the NRA bankruptcy filing:

“…we will not allow the NRA to use this or any other tactic to evade accountability and my office’s oversight.” [emphasis mine]

So tell me: Why should a national civil rights organization, one that defends the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, be under the oversight of a partisan Democrat state Attorney General whose mission is to extinguish long-standing gun rights for the citizens of all states? An Attorney General who’s mission it is to destroy a lobbying powerhouse that represents more than 5 million paying members, and many more non-paying supporters and owners of firearms in America? How do you think the public would feel if Republicans did the same thing to the ACLU? Or the AFL-CIO?

Well, at least in the end they will get exactly the kind of government they deserve. And, of course, they’ll have no way to defend themselves against it.

Crazy is as crazy does…

You are fleeing the result of policies (and politicians) for which you’ve voted over the years, policies that have resulted in excessive taxation, a high cost of living, rampant crime, and political corruption. You escape to a better place built by the antithesis of your political ideologues – one of low taxes, reasonable living costs, and a respect for law and order. But you still vote for the same policies and politicians as from where you fled?

Blue state exodus could flip the political map upside down, turning red states purple

Well, at least it proves that these people are crazy. After all, isn’t insanity defined as doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result?
