Why I consider the Southern Poverty Law Center…

… to be a hate group itself:

In 2022, we tracked 1,225 hate and antigovernment groups across the U.S.

But wait! This is a DRAMATIC increase over past years:

Why the drastic increase, you might rightfully ask? Because in 2022 they added a large number of what they refer to as “anti-government” groups – or, in layman’s terms, any group who disagrees with the current administration. They also added parents rights groups because  – surprise, surprise – some parents don’t want their kids indoctrinated by the political extremists who comprise the teacher’s union (and the SPLC). Keep in mind their new-found foci makes ME a hate group, too, because I damn well don’t agree with massive uncontrolled immigration, get-out-of-jail-free cards for violent criminals, or teaching sexually-explicit materials to 3rd graders without their parent’s permission.

Lets face it – the SPLC has devolved into just another political tool, and their list of “hate groups” is now just a mechanism they use to harass and silence their opposition. Hitler could have learned a lesson or two from the SPLC.

Oh – and the one group missing from their list? Antifa.

Yeah; that’s what I think, too.

** Update: Looks like I’m right on this one… **

Better things to do?

Hey, California – doesn’t your AG have something better to do than to fight laws in other states that don’t impact Californians?

California leads blue-state attack on ‘absurd’ West Virginia law banning boys from girls’ sports

Same goes for New York, Hawaii, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington and the District of Columbia.

I mean, come on – don’t all of these states have their own issues to resolve? Like crime-ridden streets, budget shortfalls, and homelessness?

The states are supposed to act as crucibles for democracy; if you want to change the world, be a shining example. And worry  about your own state before you start trying to change any others.

Lighten up, bigot!

What the hell is wrong with chicken and waffles? I *like* chicken and waffles. If you haven’t tried them, you should!

New York school, food vendor apologize for serving chicken and waffles on first day of Black History Month

Why couldn’t this be seen as a compliment to southern cuisine instead of an attempt at covert racism? Oh, wait – even if they didn’t call it racist, since white kids eat in the same cafeteria it would likely be seen as “cultural appropriation”. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t…

That’s how extremists seeking control like it; it leaves any attempt by you to be neutral subject to interpretation by civic “guardians”. It allows them to control speech by the social edict of their woke followers instead of direct government action.

Nice little end-run around the Constitution, no?

And yet we trust them with our ballots?

The USPS is  dominated by union members; you don’t think their politics are skewed, or that workers are beyond letting their politics impact their job?

Stefanik campaign mail stolen while in USPS custody, $20,000 in donor checks allegedly lost

The most telling quote from this article?

A letter from the USPS to Stefanik’s campaign confirms its mail was “targeted for theft” at a USPS shipping center.

Under the circumstances, do you really think it is wise to trust the post office to handle your ballot if you do not lean the same direction as the vast majority of their workers?

Yeah; me neither.

Mid-term predictions

My prediction following the mid-terms:

The Democrats will lose both the House and the Senate. Then, being a flock of lame-duck assholes, they will kill the filibuster and pass a bunch of laws (including the “Freedom to Vote” without ID act) before  vacating their offices.

Unfortunately, the Republicans will not be able to do anything about it. When they take over they won’t be able to pass any laws, even without the filibuster. Biden will just veto everything they pass, and the Republicans won’t be able to muster a super majority (2/3!) to override the veto. Democrats get their “thumb on the scale” for the next election, effectively winning anyway.

Wallah! We’re all boned. Economy tanks, we’re all made dependent on handouts from the government, and we devolve into extreme socialism and eventual oligarchic despotism. We’ll be controlled by a group of “enlightened” Democrats who know better than the rest of us, and  from whom we’ll have to beg for our daily alms.

Well, maybe not that last part. Maybe Democrats will come to their senses and not be the spoil-sports I expect them to be. Wishful thinking…
