‘Every Racist … Voted for Donald Trump’

Or so claims New York City congressman Hakeem Jeffries (D), according to this Fox News report. So why is this relevant? It’s not; it’s just a way to cause harm by innuendo and implied association. In any event, even if it were true it would not make President Trump or his message racist; it only means that the democrat offerings were less appealing to this group.

I’d also counter with my own opinion that every communist in America voted for Hillary. This doesn’t make Hillary a communist any more than Jeffries’ claim makes Trump a racist.

Think for yourselves, people; don’t be fooled by political propaganda.

Generate violence, blame Trump

Telling little piece of news regarding a recent pro-Trump demonstration, where counter-protestors showed up to stir the pot and incite violence:

Police arrested 14 people in the clashes while seizing an arsenal of deadly weaponry, including clubs, knives, bricks and what looked like spears.

While police did not say which group, specifically, supplied the cache of weapons, law enforcement clad in riot gear had to shield themselves from rocks and other projectiles thrown by anti-Trump protesters, according to local news outlets.

The source of the violence was confirmed in this CNN article:

What began as a tense exchange of name-calling and profane insults took a turn when counterdemonstrators began throwing glass bottles, bricks and balloons of “foul-smelling liquid” at officers, Portland police said.

Isn’t this the same tactic used during the election? Send people to cause trouble at pro-Trump events, then claim that it’s the pro-Trump people who are violent? I can’t be the only one who recognizes this as a tactic employed by Hitler’s “brownshirt” thugs.

And they claim Trump is the fascist… maybe they should take a closer look in the mirror.

Anti-immigrant rhetoric

Some have been very good (with the help of the media) at twisting the facts to suit their message. Here’s a good example: Andrew Cuomo is quoted in a recent news article providing a message for President Trump:

“You want to deport immigrants? Start with me because I’m an immigrant,” Cuomo said.

The problem? President Trump isn’t trying to deport immigrants; he’s only trying to deport criminal illegal aliens. Big difference.

If you’re sharp, you’ve probably noticed how some groups have tried (successfully, I might add) to eliminate the term “illegal” from their lexicon. This allows them to remove the differentiation between illegal aliens and legal immigrants. The result – quote’s like that above, meant to portray Trump as anti-immigrant. Funny, actually, given that Trump himself is from a family of immigrants  (as are many of us). Anti-immigrant? I don’t think so…

Don’t be drones, people; think for yourselves. A call to remove criminal illegal aliens is not an attack on legal immigrants, no matter what Cuomo and his friends say.

Unmitigated gall

Kathy Griffin, the comedian who posed for photos holding what appears to be the bloody head of President Trump, blames Trump for the backlash she has experienced as a result.

“I’m going to be honest,” she said through tears. “He broke me, he broke me, he broke me.”

Maybe not. Maybe we’re all just tired of the left’s extreme disrespect for the President. He may not be “your” president, Kathy, but he’s still the President of the United States – no matter how large of a temper tantrum you throw.

Note that she also places blame on others as well, going so far as to pull the race card in an attempt to recover some support from the uber-left:

“It’s hurtful to me,” Griffin said. “There’s a bunch of old white guys trying to silence me and I’m just here to say that it’s wrong.”

She even tries to hide behind the 1st amendment:

She said she plans to continue to make fun of the president as is her First Amendment right, her lawyer, civil rights attorney Lisa Bloom reiterated at Friday’s press conference.

I agree that Griffin’s picture is a viable expression of her 1st amendment rights, and that she has the right to take, display, and distribute such a picture. However, the 1st amendment does not protect one from the resulting public backlash when their speech is offensive. You can say what you want, Kathy – but you should expect people to treat you accordingly.

And for those of you who believe this behavior is acceptable and should suffer no repercussions, let me ask you this important question: How would you have felt if a right-leaning comedian was photographed holding the bloody, decapitated head of President Obama?

Yeah; I thought so…

Can you spell “Hypocrisy”?

Today, President Trump withdrew from the Paris climate accord, citing inequities in the plan that would negatively impact American jobs while handing decisive advantages to our competitors.

I agree; the Paris Accord is unfair to the United States. Under the accord we are committed to reducing our carbon output by 26-28% of 2005 levels by 2025, while our competitors have much more favorable terms. Note that it is these competitors who are now chastising us for pulling out of the Paris accord. They are upset, and rightfully so: we’ve leveled the playing field and forced them to compete with us on an equal energy footing.

Take China, for instance, who emits more carbon than anyone else. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang proclaimed that:

… fighting global warming was a “global consensus” and an “international responsibility.”

Without mentioning the U.S. specifically, Li said that “China in recent years has stayed true to its commitment” and pointed out that his was one of the first countries to ratify the 2015 Paris Agreement.

I would sign on to the accord, too, if I had China’s terms. Their commitment to the Paris accord: to peak their emissions (without limit) by 2030. Not to reduce their emissions (not one iota), but only to stop increasing emissions by 2030. Really. How is this fair to U.S. producers? Give the U.S. the same limits that China enjoys and I’m sure President Trump would sign on in a second. It’s no wonder the stock market hit a record peak Thurday, the same day Trump made his announcement to quit the accord.

The complaint by countries who have no commitment to lower emissions under the agreement is tantamount to those people who pay no taxes but receive government “benefits” chastising those who don’t want to pay their “fair share” of taxes.

Oh, wait…

For the record: I am a scientist, and I can tell you that climate change due to human activity is real. However, I do not know whether the impact of this climate change will be overall substantially negative; no one really can. Those they claim they can are being naive; the world’s ecosystem is sufficiently complex that it is unreasonable to make such claims. We can’t even accurately predict weather over extended periods.

That being said, I’d rather not gamble with all human life on Earth. I know how we fare in the current climate, and I’d like to see it continue. As a result I believe that carbon emission management is important, and I hope that we can find a way back into the environmental fold. However, it needs to be on equal footing for all participants.

Anyone but Clinton…

Clinton is perfectly willing to blame anyone but herself for her loss to Donald Trump, and today it’s the Russians.

No, it wasn’t using a personal email server for confidential government emails (which some, including myself, saw as a way to control FOIA releases); not the Clinton Slush Funds… err…  I mean “Foundations”, and their source of donations; not Bill’s sex-capades with any warm body; not Hillary’s protection of her adulterous husband; not the whole Whitewater affair; Not Bill’s pardons of his old business partner, his own half-brother Roger, and of course Marc Rich – the infamous arms dealer and fugitive.

No…. it was the RUSSIANS… yeah, THAT’S the ticket… the RUSSIANS… yeah…
